About Me

My photo
Hi! My name is Spookie and this is my blog! Some of you may know me from my Twitch Channel (Twitch.tv/spookiethegamer), where I play different games that I take an interest in. Or you may also know my Instagram account (Spookiethegamer) where I post small thoughts on games or movies that I might have on my mind; Most notably my weekly, "Movie Monday with Fred!", posts where Fred (the skull you see in all my profile pics) suggests a movie for you guys to go check out if you haven't yet! And we'll be doing the same thing here! As the blog name suggests, we'll be posting everything from Movie/Game Reviews, MMwF and anything we want to ramble about! Thanks for stopping by And I hope you enjoy your stay!

It's Been A While

Time flies when you have a lot going on in your personal life. That has definitely been the case for myself since the last time I posted on here. Between trying to get my book out there (more on that a little later), other writing, and getting burnt out of trying to post here and trying to stream on Twitch. Plus, some other extra personal things I'd like to not share here. They were all contributing factors that collided with one another causing me to feel overwhelmed and frustrated.

So now I find myself trying to get back into the things I love to do. I've missed trying to make posts on here. I've missed doing Movie Mondays with Fred, it's been too long and I'd love to get back to finding movies--and maybe some TV shows--to suggest on here. I also have other thoughts on other topics that I'd like to throw into my Ramblings, Ranking and Top 5s categories. Hell, maybe even some game reviews from time to time.

I plan on doing my best to get more out when I'm able to, but my book writing will always take priority over everything else. And if nothing else, I will do my best to pop on here for a quick update on how that's going.

Which that was my not so subtle, and sloppy, segue to my book:

When private investigator, James Ciarán, took his latest case—looking for a missing girl—he didn’t realize it would take him down a path of possible eternal damnation. Now with a demon in his head and an ancient Biblical coin in his pocket, he must fight dark temptations as he struggles to navigate around a religious police detective and demonic forces. The only person he can rely on, and keep him sane, is his secretary, Evelyn Mason. Together they will journey through Lazarus City in the hopes of redeeming his soul.

This is my first book. I'm quite proud of what I was able to accomplish with it. Also, It's FREE with Kindle Unlimited! Here's a link for you guys to go check it out!-- The Judas Coin

And beyond that, I've been working on two more stories. The first one is tentatively titled, Lazarus Rising, and is a direct continuation of The Judas Coin. Though, I'm not super far along with that one as my second story has caught my attention at the moment. The title--again tentatively--is Jeremiah. And that one is a Horror/Western, and I've been pretty excited about. And it seemingly will currently bee the longest book I've written. I'm at 1/3 the size of The Judas coin and I'm still setting up the story. But, editing and rewrites are a strange process, so who knows how the final product will end up!

But, I think that enough for me for today. I appreciate you all for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and read this! I'll be back soon! Hope you guys have a great day!
